Tablets in 2013 will
have a new set of CPU’s and graphics processing units (GPU) to choose from.
Nvidia announce its Tegra 4 Soc, now built on the 28nm fabrication process and
will have the same 4+1 CPU configuration and huge 72 GPU cores. wow!!
Samsung also showcased
its Exynos 5 Octa Soc, a chip containing four ARM Cortex A7 CPU’s and four
Cortex A15 CPU’s, giving you a grand total of eight cores !
Finally, Qualcomm
announced a refresh for their Soc line-up that will fall into the 800,600,400
and 200 series. The high end 800 series will features four cores running at
2.34Ghz, faster Andreno 330 GPU, WI-FI.
