Microsoft to End Support For Windows Phone 8 in 2014

Microsoft recently revealed its new strategy of product support life cycles for Windows Phone 7.8 and Windows Phone 8 which will end in the second half of the upcoming year 2014 and Microsoft decides to support the Windows Phone 8 till July 8th 2014 and the Windows Phone 7.8 till September 9th 2014.

These Support Life Cycles were started on December 14th 2013 for Windows Phone 8 and February 9th 2013 for Windows Phone 7.8 Microsoft's Support Page Explains the Company's Support strategy as follows-

"Microsoft will make updates available for the Operating System on your phone, including security updates, for a period of 18 months after the life-cycle start date. Distribution of the updates may be controlled by the mobile operator or the phone manufacturer from which you purchased your phone. Update availability will also vary by country, region, and hardware capabilities." 

According to The Microsoft's recent job listing,The company is planning to release a new version of Windows Phone for the Holiday season(December),The WP 8 devices will be update able to the upcoming WP OS.

Sony announced its two new smartphones recently namely- Xperia SP and Xperia L.We already know about the Sony's Flagship Smartphone for 2013 the Xperia Z and these will accompany it as two new budget Smartphones.

Xperia L doesn't come with the same light band below the screen but this light band can only glow when you have missed calls,SMS,etc.This acts as the notifications bar.

All the features of these two smartphones are squeezed into an Aluminium frame availab;le in three colour variants-Red,White and Black..The aluminium body makes it stylish and durable.

HTC Criticizes Samsung Galaxy S4's Plastic Design

Samsung has launched its new flagship Samsung Galaxy S4 for the year 2013 and it mainly aims on increasing its popularity and power in the Android Markets and also to go against the rivalries like HTC,Nokia,SONY,etc.

Even before the battle has begin HTC's Chief Marketing Officer Benjamin Ho criticized the Plastic body of this smartphone and he considered a smartphone with plastic design like this as cheap stuff.

Ben Ho also stated that today's customers would like to have an unique and edge cutting  Smartphone design  like the HTC One's premium aluminium body.He claims that the HTC One is far better than this plastic flagship.And he is right!

Even the customers and fans of Samsung Galaxy Range were expecting something different from Samsung but the Smartphone turned out to be a "Plastic Soap Box".But we can't state anything about the sales of this Smartphone because Samsung has something more than HTC and that's called "Marketing".

There are many better options than this plastic flagship,The best alternative is the HTC One,I would actually suggest you not to buy the Samsung galaxy S4 and it would be more better if you spend money on the HTC one Or the Xperia Z.Even waiting for Nexus 5 would be a better option
